I’m A Celebrity fan-favourite Aitch, 25, reportedly ended his relationship with girlfriend Lois Cottam just weeks before flying out to the Australian jungle.
The rapper — who has quickly become one of the standout personalities on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! — sparked huge buzz earlier this week after admitting he had “a soft spot” for fellow campmate Shona McGarty. Many viewers assumed he was still in a committed relationship with Lois, a psychology student, but new reports suggest the pair quietly called time on their romance before filming began.
The revelation followed Aitch’s coy suggestion that there might be “room for something new,” moments after confessing his feelings for Shona.
According to insiders, Aitch — real name Harrison Armstrong — and Lois agreed to end things in the weeks leading up to his jungle appearance. After more than a year together, they reportedly decided their relationship had reached a natural end and parted on good terms.
A source told The Sun:
“Aitch and Lois still think the world of each other, but they realised they’re better as friends. There’s no drama, no bitterness. She just wants him to enjoy the whole jungle experience.”
The couple had kept their romance mostly private, despite idyllic getaways to New York and Santorini over the summer. They rarely posted about one another and preferred staying out of the spotlight, leaving fans to assume they were still happily together until Aitch’s on-air admission.
That moment came during a shower chat with campmate AngryGinge, when Aitch revealed that the 34-year-old EastEnders actress had caught his attention.
“I’ve got a bit of a soft spot for Shona, me,” he said — instantly triggering a wave of speculation across social media.
Later that night, Aitch was seen sitting beside Shona for an easy conversation, only adding fuel to the rumours. The pair continued to banter throughout the episode, even joking about the questionable meals they might face next. Aitch was left laughing as Shona teased:
